There are currently 3 options available to you:
o Apply through your own Bank Branch?
o Apply through a Bank’s own Home Loan Consultant?
o Apply through a Bond Originator?
1 Applying through your own Bank Branch!
This route places you in a situation where you
may lose control of the most important aspects
of the process, namely TIME & MONEY!
You may have to continually chase branch staff
for feedback; you may not be able to speak to
branch staff when you need to. The outcome
may take a long time due to potentially slow
delivery from branch staff.
How will you be sure that the interest rate
being charged is the best you can get?
Or even worse? What if the bond is declined?
What then?
Will there be enough time to apply for bond
finance elsewhere, and how will you go about
it...? You will then need the services of a Bond
Originator.
2 Applying through a Bank’s own Home Loan Consultant!
This may seem like a good idea as the perception
is that a Bank Consultant can somehow speed
up the process “by being on the inside”, but the
problem is that it is still only an application to
one bank!
Again, what if the bond is declined? Or you are
not happy with the interest rate? What then?
You will then need the services of a Bond
Originator or you may lose the property and
have to start house hunting all over again!
